Life Update June 2021

It’s June already and Noah just turned 15 months. We recently started to do more play dates with the kids and they are literally having the times of their lives. It feels SO good seeing them running around, having fun and don’t have to wear masks. I think I can finally say that our lives are slowly getting back to being “normal” again.

I went to my fitness class last week without having to wear a mask, and it filled my heart seeing all the faces and expressions.

Raphael is going to start school at the end of the month. It’ll be so good for him going there regularly in the mornings. He loves his gym class and being around other kids so much, I am sure he will be super excited to go to pre-school! I’m a little curious how they handle “wearing masks with little ones”. Hopefully the kids don’t have to wear them anymore!

With Noah, we just started the 2-1 nap transition last weekend because I really had the feeling that he was ready to drop 1 nap. He was on a really nice 2 nap schedule for almost 5 months, but his wake windows are getting longer and it’s harder to fit in 2 full naps without waking him up.

When we did the switch to 1 nap he started to sleep 1,5 hours immediately on the first day, so I knew he was ready: This is what his schedule looks like, for those who are curious.

7:30 – 8:00 AM: Wake time

8:30 AM: Breakfast
Soy milk, fruits, cereals

11:00 AM: Lunch

Noodles, tomatoes, beans, fruits, yoghurt

11:30 AM – 2:00/2:30 PM: Nap

2:30 PM: Snack after he wakes up from nap
Cracker/Pouch

5:30 PM: Dinner
Rice, vegetable, fruits

between 7 and 7:30 PM: Soy milk and Bedtime

It’s been only 13 days since we switched him to 1 nap and he is killing it. He sleeps 2-2.5 hours which is really nice and so good for him. He wakes up super happy and well rested and ready to tackle the second half of the day! 🙂

Mark and I have been on a few dates without the kids which was so so good and much needed! We went to a home defense class at Ann Arbor Arms for our anniversary date. We had a great time, had so much fun and learned a ton in those 4 hours. I can’t wait to go on our next date night again. It’s hard to find time for each other when there’s so much going on.

ALSO: We are officially planning to stay in Ann Arbor, and we’re looking for some land to build a home. I am beyond excited to finally move into our own space. We’ve actually met a potential builder and went through floor plans and rates. I can’t wait to finally get that process started, it’s like a dream come true.

Hopefully I can share some more infos soon!!
