2 years anniversary: With every day I love you more

Exactly 2 years ago I said yes to the love of my life.

Ever since we first met at the university in Karlsruhe there was this chemistry between us. This special connection never really stopped being present no matter how far apart we were. After we got engaged we both knew we wanted to get married in Karlsruhe – the city where everything started. Our wedding date was 2 months after Mark’s proposal so we didn’t have a lot of time to organize something big. But since we wanted to celebrate the “civil wedding” in a small circle anyways it was just fine.

I was super relaxed and I can remember exactly that I didn’t have a dress until the very last end. I went with my mom to the bridal store close to our home 1 week before our wedding. It was the first dress I tried and I fell in love with it – immediately. It was perfect. We also ordered the cake, the flowers and the restaurant that week – everything was a little last minute, but it was absolutely perfect.

It was such a wonderful day with our family and our closest friends! Here is a little insight into the most beautiful and most incredible day!

A little love letter to the person, who is always there for me and understands me the most:

In the last 2 years we’ve been married, you have given me so much love, support and security. Especially after we moved to the US. I can not put into words how much I love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I am forever grateful to have you by my side! Even if you can’t be with me today to celebrate our anniversary I’ll send you lots of love to China and I hope you’ll have enough time after a bunch of meetings, presentations and business dinner to open my little present!

I remember exactly how fast it all went between us (became a couple, got engaged, got married). Within a year so much changed in our lives. And when I look back… we did everything right!

And now to carry our little one in my belly makes it just absolutely perfect. And I can’t wait to hold him in my arms!

I love you!
